Surface tablet ad - Know Your Cell

Now that the Microsoft Surface tablet pricing is out, it's not surprising to see Microsoft release the first nationwide advertisement for its coming iPad rival.?

You can view the Microsoft Surface tablet ad below and I'll let you decide if it's effective or not. I think it's kind of fun but doesn't really convey much of anything -- I don't know why I'd choose it over something like a new iPad. Even the clicking on of the touch cover and how the people in the commercial are holding the device seem weird to me because there's no practical purpose to holding it like that.?

Still, I'm very excited about the Microsoft Surface tablets because these will be a showcase for the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. Well, these will run Windows 8 RT, so there's no desktop but I'm really looking forward to the new live tile interface.?

The Microsoft Surface tablets will come with 2GB of RAM, Bluetooth 4.0, a 16:9 widescreen 10.6-inch screen with 1366 x 768 resolution, two 720p HD cameras, multiple USB ports, a microSD slot and you can get it with 32GB or 64GB of storage. The Microsoft Surface tablets can be had for $499, $599 and $699 depending on what type of storage you want and if you want the touch keyboard cover.?

You can preorder a Microsoft Surface tablet here.
